Here I am, a week late sending this out, fresh off an Instagram hiatus during which someone in my household was always sick. I feel like I’m emerging from some sort of cave, blinking into the foggy dynamic of our post-election society.

But I have some GOOD news that’s getting out into my real life circles, so I feel it’s time to share it here: I am officially writing my first book!

It’s a devotional for Christian creatives that I’ve been writing in one sense or another for the past six years. Of course, I didn’t know at the time what I was writing for, I only knew devotional writing, for some reason, was a skill I needed to start working on. And so I did.

Stay tuned for a release date and more details as it all crystallizes!

I am also preparing my cozy winter guide, Sacred Solitude, for you to hunker down with post-solstice. Yes, I’m being a stickler for following the seasonal rhythm. Go enjoy the warmth and cheer of Christmastime. Then we can get through the rest of winter.

As a bonus, this year I have a friend writing a companion to Sacred Solitude. It will be a buy guide, for those of you who like having recommendations and links directly to them. Bethany is an interior designer, so I’m really excited to offer you her skill set to help you find practical and creative solutions to staying sane through the most isolating part of the year.

That’s all for now, unless you’re a paid subscriber. I have a short essay below for those of you who have supported my work financially this year. I only put up the paywall a couple times a year, but it only seems fair as a thank you. I’m so grateful even three people would see pouring $5 per month of their money into my work as a worthy expense. And you, though small in number, are worthy of my effortful words even though few will read them.

Take care, Beloveds.
